Hi, I’m Sienna,
I work in communications and project management, bringing experience across nonprofit, public service, and community-based work to teams and projects of all kinds. I've spent the last few years at a refugee resettlement nonprofit, managing federally funded programs and leading organization-wide communications strategy at the same time. It's a lot to keep in motion, and I've learned I'm good at keeping things moving.
I studied public relations and journalism at the University of Oklahoma, then went to Copenhagen for a master's in Cognition and Communication, where my research focused on public perceptions of Syrian and Ukrainian refugees in Denmark. That work sharpened how I think about storytelling: how information shapes the way people see communities, and what it actually takes to shift that.
What I do best is connect things and teams. The right people to the right information, the early idea to the actual plan, the strategy to the team that can carry it out. I've done that in program management, in communications, and in high-stakes moments like leading HMI's 10-Year Anniversary Gala, a 250-guest event that raised $25,000 and brought together donors, partners, and community members in a meaningful way.
That mix of strategy, structure, and real-world execution is what I bring to every project I work on.

In The Field
A big part of what I do happens in person. From Women's Day celebrations to community resource fairs, I've helped plan and lead events that are designed to give people something real: a connection, a resource, a moment where they felt genuinely seen.
I care about the whole arc of an event, from the first planning conversation to the debrief after. But what keeps me coming back to this kind of work is what happens in the room when it all comes together.
